Mario Moreno was one of the greatest film comics, a small contingent that includes the likes of Chaplin, Keaton, and Tati. But he is more. He is the embodiment of all that Octavio Paz wrote about the common man of Mexico. But Moreno gave most of it back. He never forgot where he came from.
