¡COMO MEXICO NO HAY DOS! Mexico's hsitory and culture, the Real, and the surreal, Mexico. Politics, economic, news sometimes here, but regularly posted at mexfiles.substack.com. Copy and quote freely, but be respectful, and acknowlege the source. And, of course, monetary donations help keep the site going.
The Oct. 2 demonstrations have a history of being infiltrated by anarchists who join the marches and then carry out their own agenda of destruction, smashing windows of as many storefronts as they can. Year after year. Those people were not remembering history or celebrating democracy. I expect the small business owners along the route appreciate that public security finally took some effective measures this year.
