Mexican Engineering

Even though there is no tuition at UNAM, it doesn’t mean the students get a completely free ride.  To support himself, 18 year old Cristóbal Miguel García Jaimes,  has been working as a night watchman and bricklayer in the Capital, and, when back home in San Miguel Totolapan, Guerrero, helping support his mother and siblings selling baked goods on the streets.  And, in his spare time, the first year physics student invented and built the world’s most inexpensive particle accelerator.
