I haven’t seen many figures on the boycott, but one I did see was that retail sales jumped 75% in Juarez (well, it was a holiday), but dropped 50% in El Paso. I expect it’s the same in other border towns. I wonder what the retail figures were where this picture was taken… Kodiak, Alaska.
The Mexfiles has never expected to turn a profit, but personal funds only go so far. Miscellaneous expenses (telephone, internet connection, subscriptions, spyware, hardware repair, etc.) run about 600 pesos (35 US$) a month, and donations are gratefully accepted.
