Strangers in the neighborhood
Roman Cotera, the Amazing Mexican takes an amazing look at the U.S. presidential candidates:
The thing is, no matter how bad is your Spanish the 3 major candidates need to turn their heads back to the neighborhood. Obama also mentions and points the Chavez “threat” and the bloomimg of the “Revolución Bolivariana” as a set back for American interest in the region. I think it goes a little further than just that.
Since 9/11, The US-Mexico relations have gotten to their lowest point -several times- and reached a lowest of the low point when Mexican embassador to the U.S. Adolfo Aguilar Zinzer pronounced the voto of Mexico, at that time in the U.N. security council, AGAINST the war and since then “The Backyard of the U.S” has been pretty much at the bottom of America’s priorities leading to complety smash the poor links and ties of frienship all along the continent.
