Upside Down World
The Seattle Cartel (aka Microsoft) is complaining la Familia Michoacána is muscling in on their territory:
La Familia drug cartel is selling not just drugs, but also counterfeit Microsoft Office computer software, according the Redmond, Wash., tech giant.
Microsoft showed off unauthorized copies of its Office 2007 software in Paris today which the company said it found for sale in Mexico. The pirated copies of Office were marked with La Familia cartel’s rectangular “FMM” logo …

I can’t imagine waking up and remembering I was British car show twit Richard Hammond. If Chicarito finds Manchester depressing, at least he’s not waking up British:

As always you put things into a great perspective. Perhaps los gringos del Norte can take a break from reading the weekly musings of Ask A Mexican, to read the thought of a word-wealthy, fine point penning gringo living in Mexico.
It’s appalling that so many “writers” aka “journalists” in el Norte voice their opinions without ever having been to Mexico. Some have been to Cancun or Cabo, but they were insulated from seeing the real Mexico, and they weren;t even in Mexico long enough to learn some Spanish or change their dolares into pesos…
On this subject: Microsoft may put pressure on La Familia to back away from the computer market, just as long as they don’t mess with the real Michoacana: paletas!! I’m actually hoping you’ll opine on the subject of how most “Mexican” ice cream is no longer “Mexican”. Holanda, Bings, Nestle, etc. not Mexican-owned.
If La Familia messes with Michoancaca ice cream & paletas, we might need to make a phone call to La Famiglia to let them know who is (still) boss.
Keep pushing that pen in the right direction(left).
That’s Michoacana, not Michoacaca. I was thinking Lago Titicaca.
