Unjust and absurd

11 August 2010

Although I have never made any secret of my distaste for the conservative-erst wing of PAN, former party chair Manuel Espino  has the Mex Files condolences on the murder of his nephew in Juarez, presumably a victim of the “drug war”.   I normally don’t comment on family tragedies, but Espino’s statement to the press is worth pondering:

“Our youth are falling victim to an unjust and absurd war.  Not only our family, but all of Mexico, is suffering.”

Meanwhile, Enrique Peña Nieto, the presumed PRI candidate for the Presidency in 2012 was assuring the United States (not Mexicans) that his party would continue this “war” should it capture Los Pinos.

I could not agree more. All of Mexico is suffering either economically, emotionally, as victims of the violence or victims of the negativity in the international press. So many citizens have become hardened to the point where the shocking events are”normal.” And this will continue to escalate if we don’t demand to have our country back. I don’t know where there is a true leader hiding but I pray that we see him/her soon… They say its always darkest before dawn.

Well, well, well….isn’t that reassuring. When the pri were in power all they did was keep the shit to shoe level. They allowed narcos to influence politicians and our pop culture. Back when they were in power the narco war was very much alive (just not as “gacho”, as it is today); And, lets not forget that it was their style of government that planted these putrid fucking seeds that have grown over 75 years in to a corrupt Mexico that we see today. Unfortunately, some Mexicanos see only a “carita”, or a pretty face….if that is true there will be many people voting for this guy (enrique) because they think that he is handsome. I sure hope that La Raza is better informed this time and demand more from our government; lets not forget what 75 years of pri gave us, and what only twelve years of pan have given us. I sure hope that pri never wins again. Like I said before, we should consider PRD, to first of all; crush the narcos that are terrozing our communities, and to close the huge gap between the poor and rich.

PRI the friends to Narco cartels, will assuredly once again form a peaceful and profitable relationship with the Narco cartels. No drug wars necessary… Si Se Puede.
