Whoops, she did it again…
Hillary Clinton, who thankfully is not “the most powerful man in the world”, had to be told that Mexico is not Colombia not just by Mexicans (who know what Mexico is, and know Colombia is someplace else), but by His Barackness himself.
Clinton somehow came to the conclusion that Mexico was on the brink of “insurgency”… which is supposed to be a bad thing. Psst… Hilary: in about a week we start partying hearty to celebrate the insurgents of 200 years ago. We name streets “Insurgentes” because we like insurgents. They’re our good guys.
Say “insurgent” to a Mexican, and he’ll think of somebody like this —

As you can see from the above examples, “insurgents” are people who have something in their hands that should be read. Unlike… oh…

Your photo is too kind. I saw her on the news that night and man does she look bad! I mean really, whats with that? A bit of make-up, someone to brush her hair and give it some sort of style and always the “man” clothes. … I understand that cleavage and showing some leg is not the American way ( one of the reasons I moved to Mexico) but geez does she have to look like a skag?
Women should always try to look beautiful and sexy and men will always be slobs and pigs. Ying and Yang… it has worked for years.
I don’t like to defend Hillary Clinton (my head and fingers are twitching nervously even as I type), but….
She’s not the first to compare Mexico to Colombia, or at least to suggest that Mexico could become a Colombia. And, although I haven’t seen her interview, I’d assume it was aimed at a US audience. And I don’t need to tell you what ‘insurgent’ means to those north of the border!
The Colombia/Mexico comparisons are both irresistible and valid whilst being inaccurate and unfair at the same time. Such is the complexity of life.
This is, after all, the same person, who just last year asked who painted the Virgin of Guadeloupe.
Claderon has a lot of room to talk, I remember Calderon warning immigrants about going to Arizona. I wonder if Calderon has ever warned any immigrants about the tourture, kinapping for ransomm rape and mass murder immigrants in Mexico are subjected to?
