PAN’s Josefina Vásquez Mota tries some old-style Mexican campaigning. She might want to check with the old PRI pols, but if you’re bringing in a rent-a-throng, you probably don’t want to pay them until the candidate is finished speaking.
The Mexfiles has never expected to turn a profit, but personal funds only go so far. Miscellaneous expenses (telephone, internet connection, subscriptions, spyware, hardware repair, etc.) run about 600 pesos (35 US$) a month, and donations are gratefully accepted. Well, Josefina has , apparently, over 1,250,000 people who gave her a “Like” response.
And there is always a “but”. She does not have a crowd pleasing voice, and she needs a campiagn manager who is a helluva lot more knowledgeable.
