“We do not shout ‘Olè!’, much less eat ‘chile-con-carne’, nor strum guitars, don boots and sombreros and walk shouting through the streets,” say Mexican residents of Berlin. They have asked their nation’s embassy to intercede on their behalf to complain about this U.S. company’s attempts to foist on Germans a false impression of Mexicans.

I’ve been to footbal games and even bull fighting once. They most certainly do shout ‘ole!’
I’ve no idea why, but there’s been an explosion of Mexico themed (stereotyped?)adverts in the UK over the last couple of years. Try this one..
Dorito’s have run several…
And there have been others. But no protest from Mexicans in London that I’ve heard of. But given that the last time there was a complaint, Top Gear just mocked them some more. So they probably saved their breath….
Ah, but in Germany, a joke is no laughing matter.
Ja. When ist ein peanut not a peanut? Wenn it is a salted. Peanut.
When American corporations through the news media give biased misinformation regarding groups of people “historically it is has always been given a stamp of approval as true and factual”, to the detriment of those projected as such. Governments have also been known to utilize this technique to conquer or colonize territories inhabitated by people they consider inferior. Their expansionist and greedy agendas have been rationalized by crediting their successful interloping to the “Will of God”.
