Garbage in, garbage out

27 August 2016

Tired of excuses for poor garbage collection, including pickup less than once a month, the Yosoy132 movement (thought to be extinct) came back to life in Playa del Carmen, sending out text messages urging citizens not to take their complaints to city hall… but their trash.

Sunday night, about 30 citizens showed up, garbage bags in hand.  More showed up at the home of the former Municipal President who is blamed to stinting the budget for trash removal, and a city councilman’s house, who is supposed to oversee public services.

Municipal government sometimes stinks… literally.  trash
