These are the times that test our strength of character when the forces of government selectively choose how to oppose the rights of citizens. The Catholic Church has always promoted the importance of individual worth, over the “common good” argument of opressive control of citizens. Individual freedom given by our creator is not subject to some monarchy to agree to let us be free.
